Happy Birthday Grandpa!

My Grandpa is 92 years old today. Wow! He has always been such a big part of my life that I felt I had to write a little in his honor today. A P&G lifer, he has been retired in Florida ever since I was in high school. As a kid, I used to just go spend time with he and my Grandma Ellie because I really enjoyed their company and they always enjoyed me for exactly who I am. They treated all 11 of their Grandchildren the same way. I was the first, so I am sure I got a little favoritism, but I think all of us would look back and say they loved the memories they made with Grandma and Grandpa.

I had a wonderful conversation with him this afternoon and despite his physical infirmities, he continues to be involved with his family and his friends. His most recent adventure, evidently detailed in the St. Pete Times, was as part of a senior chime choir tour where he also used his awesome voice in a solo.

I propose a toast to a wonderful Grandfather, Mr. William G. Chappell! Thanks for being my Grandpa!
