What makes me jazzed?

Thank you Brandon for setting the table for a little written creativity from me. You ask what makes me excited, what turns me on? Here is his temptation:

Your Turn

What does your current journey look like?

What have you been waiting to start that can start today?

What about a journey that needs to come to an end?

What are you in the midst of that is getting you jazzed each day?

My journey over the past 6 months looks like one of transition. The companies I have worked for have been acquired. I have been forced into a job search three, THREE, 3 times! That is, I have had to seek new employment three times in the past 18 months! In the end, each one has been a great experience that I would not want to have missed. The first, my job with group chat firm Parlano, acquired by Microsoft (the borg!), has given me a great appreciation for them and the software they create. The second, ROME Corporation, has introduced me to the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) industry and the intricacies and complications of such. Now, I feel poised to profit from the lessons learned in my new position as an Account Executive for Allegro Development covering the Exploration & Production field. With the high price of oil right now, it is very attractive for companies to poke holes in the ground to look for oil. It is these very companies that I serve with software to help their firms to account for their transactions.

Thank you again Brandon for your prodding. I look forward to what lies ahead for me!

Jim,

Though full of change and surprise, what an awesome journey! I'm glad to have met you on the first leg of this trip and to have been able to keep in touch since.

Keep us posted on the new job!
